About Us

Overview

Kuyenda Collective equips rural youth to advocate for better quality, access, and relevance in their education system delivery. The initiative promotes systems thinking development in traditional public education system spaces.

We work in four countries: Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe; and in transnational spaces across Sub-Saharan Africa.

How We Work

Transnational spaces represent key multi-network platforms for CSOs working in rural education interventions to lobby for policy reform, build pressure for national accountability, exchange information for transnational learning and adapting.

The project aims to strengthen non-traditional education system actors (CSOs and related stakeholders) in the education system to participate in regional or transnational spaces.

Our Processes

Horizontal and vertical systems strengthening through the diversity of voices in civil society through capacity building in systems thinking, effective advocacy and transnational engagement.

Nurturing country wide alliances and networks that can convene and gather critical masses of rural youth collectively for ongoing engagement.

Consecutive cycles of problem-focused action and learning, designed to build the capacity of the civil society networks, and strengthen their ability to engage effectively in transnational spaces while staying aligned to specific country needs.
