#YouthVoices: Thokozani Fickson (Malawi)

A Rural Youth Perspective from Nkota-Kota, Malawi

Pictured: A rural youth representative from Nkhota-kota, Thokozani Fickson captured making representations to government officials.

“I want to understand the criteria for selecting the 250 Community Day Secondary Schools (CDSS) that will be constructed across the country. This is because Nkhota-kota is one of the districts that have very few CDSSs with other areas, Traditional Authorities not having even one CDSS e.g. Lupachi area. Still, Nkhota-kota has not yet benefited from this program as the first and second phases have been completed, and I would like to know if my district will benefit from this program moving forward.”
